Me: Do you have the Flip Video Ultra 60 minute version?
Wal-Mart Worker: Nope. Only the 30 minute ones.
Me: I noticed on your website that they’re $129, not $149 like your price here.
Wal-Mart Worker: Sir, we don’t compete with ourself. If I were you and wanted the cheapest price, I’d get it from the internet.

And that’s why I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart. Well, that and their terrible business practices.

My response to her was “Wow. I’ll get it from the internet but not from Wal-Mart.com. Thanks.”

erin, I’ve been trying to boycott them for a while now but couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a bargain on the Flip Video Ultra. It appears I’ll be ordering from Amazon.com now.

    I. Hate. The. Walmart. Short, sweet, simple. I regard them as a large boil on the collective backside of America. And, you know their whole nefarious plot was to lure you in for the one thing you wanted and then sell you a buggy-full of extraneous crap you weren’t planning on buying. They’re crafty like that. There is a little trick I’ve learned to turn back on them. Utilize their Store Pickup option and get the web price in the store. That one still “buffoons” them.

Missy, I just noticed that on their website. Since they are the cheapest for the 60 minute version of the Flip Video Ultra, I may have to resort to that option.

The only other item I walked out with was peanut butter but I’ll blame that one on the wife. :)
